The battle for the state of Florida continues this weekend as the Orlando Magic visits the Miami Heat. The eyes of the basketball world have been on the Sunshine state all season as everything the Heat’s Big Three do is news worthy and what will eventually happen to Magic center Dwight Howard? One week Howard wants out and the next he’s happy staying with Orlando. With the NBA trade deadline quickly approaching the talks about where Howard will land will surely increase. If you are an Orlando fan, the situation is similar to one with Shaquille O’Neal and hopefully this time the organization can convince the dominant center to stay put. If Howard’s mind is already made up and he wants out, then trade him so you get some value in return. With Howard, the Magic can definitely be a threat to both the Heat and the Chicago Bulls. Without him, they could struggle in making the playoffs. This is a big game for Miami because they are competing against Chicago for the top spot in the east which ensures home court advantage. When the trio of LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh play their best, the Heat is extremely difficult to beat. When the Magic and Heat play the game is always interesting. If the Heat can slow down Howard and limit the numbers of open three-pointers, then they will prevail: Miami 90 Orlando 83 (Record: 21-11).
